Part of the awesomeness that is Tumblr is its support for feeds. You can give it any feed and it will insert it into your blog as it’s updated. You can even specify how it should treat a feed. As a quote, text, photo, etc. So I was really excited to have it automatically insert photos from my Flickr feed. So I did it, and as you can see it gave less than spectacular results. I spent an hour or two trying to figure out why Tumblr was showing the photo so small, before I realized the obvious; it wasn’t. Apparently Flickr are dicks and only put the smallest fucking thumbnail of your picture in the feed. We own our data, my ass. So now I’m going to have to do it manually, the hard way, by directly linking to each Flickr photo, setting a click-through, and copying the caption. Goddammit.
